Institute of Applied Informatics

The outstanding strength of our institute is the management of the talented students: the Scientific Conference for Students (TDK) gives our students a unique possibility to get used to the independent research and development process. The students involved in such projects (under the supervision of our teachers) solve interesting development tasks, and they present their results with the prospect of prizes on the annual Scientific Conference for Students in the University or on the National Scientific Conference for Students (OTDK) that is held once in every two years.

The employees of the institute perform extensive and divers research & development work in various scientific areas. The most prominent topics are for example the results obtained by the synthesis of workflow processes using P-graphs and mathematical-based systematic methods; or image processing, content-based image retrieval, computer vision, mobile robotics; or even devices and scientific publications in the field of robot vision and environmental mapping, just to name a few.
